Front Office Receptionist

Introduction

Our client is seeking a Front Office Receptionist to join their team in Durban. This position plays an important role in supporting daily business operations and ensuring that clients or internal stakeholders receive efficient service. Duties & Responsibilities

  • Welcome visitors and clients while maintaining a professional reception environment.
  • Answer and direct incoming calls through the switchboard.
  • Manage visitor logs and meeting room bookings.
  • Handle incoming mail, courier coordination, and basic office communication.
  • Maintain a clean and organised reception area.
  • Provide general administrative support to office staff.
  • Coordinate visitor access with internal departments.
  • Maintain reception records and daily visitor registers.

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • Matric / Grade 12 is essential.
  • Relevant diploma or certificate advantageous.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Computer literacy including Microsoft Office.
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team.
  • Previous reception or front desk experience advantageous.
  • Professional presentation and strong interpersonal skills.
