Reporting To

Warehouse Supervisor / Logistics Manager

To safely and efficiently operate a 7-ton forklift for the loading, unloading, movement and storage of goods within the warehouse and yard, ensuring compliance with company safety procedures and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a 7-ton forklift safely and efficiently.
• Load and unload trucks, containers and deliveries.
• Transport raw materials, finished goods and pallets between designated areas.
• Stack and store products safely to maximise warehouse space.
• Conduct daily pre-start inspections on the forklift and report any defects immediately.
• Complete forklift inspection checklists and relevant documentation.
• Ensure stock is handled carefully to prevent damage.
• Assist with stock movement, receiving and dispatch activities.
• Follow warehouse procedures and safety regulations at all times.
• Keep work areas clean and free of hazards.
• Assist with general warehouse duties when required.
• Work effectively with warehouse staff, dispatch personnel and supervisors.
• Adhere to company policies, health and safety standards, and housekeeping requirements.

Minimum Requirements

Essential

• Grade 12 (Matric) preferred.
• Valid 7-ton Forklift Operator Licence/Certificate.
• Minimum 2 years' experience operating a 7-ton forklift in a warehouse, manufacturing or logistics environment.
• Medically fit to operate heavy machinery.
• Available immediately for a one-month temporary assignment.
• Reliable transport to and from work.

Advantageous

• Experience working in FMCG, manufacturing or logistics.
• Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS).
• Experience with loading containers and heavy materials.

Salary

• Market-related hourly rate.
