Financial Manager - Poultry Division

Role Overview

Head the finance function for a poultry group and contribute to the company’s financial objectives and continued growth. The role provides fiscal leadership across the division, with responsibility for financial analysis, strategic planning, financial performance, risk, systems, and commercial decision support in a large FMCG, manufacturing, or retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and divisional budget ownership.
• Develop and implement financial strategies supporting growth and profitability.
• Report company performance and focus areas to management and executive committee stakeholders.
• Manage cash flow, accounts payable, accounts receivable, financial risk, and financial controls.
• Conduct financial analysis and provide insight for operational and strategic decisions.
• Lead and mentor the finance and administration team.
• Oversee ERP and financial systems, including new system design and implementation.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
• Provide strategic direction through analysis of financial statements.

Requirements

• Relevant experience in manufacturing, processing, FMCG, or retail.
• Accounting background with completed SAICA or SAIPA articles.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, CIMA, or a related field.
• At least seven years of financial-management experience, preferably in milling or manufacturing.
• Strong leadership, communication, commercial acumen, change-management, and relationship-building skills.
• Exposure to raw-material management, procurement, SAFEX, or commodities is beneficial.
