Financial Manager - Kroonstad

Introduction

A wholesale distribution company serving companion animals, large animals, poultry, swine, and equine markets is seeking a Financial Manager for its Kroonstad team. The role offers performance incentives, professional development, and a collaborative work environment.

Role and Responsibilities

• Oversee financial activities and prepare consolidated, IFRS-compliant group financial statements.
• Lead the annual external audit process across all branches.
• Manage group budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and working capital.
• Ensure consistent financial controls, policies, and VAT, PAYE, and income-tax compliance.
• Deliver timely financial reporting, variance analysis, and strategic insights.
• Consolidate branch performance data and support operational and expansion decisions.
• Mentor finance staff and promote collaboration between branches.

Skills and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles is highly beneficial.
• Three to five or more years' experience as a Financial Manager or similar senior professional, preferably in a multi-branch or group environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of financial statements, budgeting, and audit coordination.
• Advanced Excel, analytical, communication, and stakeholder-engagement skills.
• Ability to manage complexity and meet deadlines.
• Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central experience in a multi-entity environment is highly beneficial.
