Role Overview

A manufacturing, projects, and engineering group is seeking a Financial Manager for a business unit in Pretoria West. The role is a key member of the Finance Department and supports aggressive growth targets across mining and engineering piping systems, HDPE pipe manufacturing, and rotational moulding operations.

Responsibilities

Be part of the management team running a business unit for optimal profit.
Prepare monthly and interim financial reporting and ensure results are ready within three days after month end.
Analyse financial information, explain variances, and identify cost-saving and business-improvement opportunities.
Support management meetings and ensure the required information is available.
Complete financial audits within three months after year end.
Drive the business-planning cycle and support delivery of the business and strategic plan.
Actively manage debtors and creditors, cash-flow planning, stock takes, and working-capital efficiency.
Maintain internal controls, procedures, segregation of duties, and accurate financial and administrative systems.
Manage PAYE, VAT, income-tax calculations, payroll administration, petty cash, insurance and legal administration, and people management.
Use Acumatica and support management with cost-saving, profit-and-loss, and ad hoc analysis.

Requirements

CIMA, BCom Accounting with Honours and CTA, BCom Financial Management with Honours, or equivalent is advantageous.
Five to ten years' relevant experience, preferably including manufacturing experience.
Acumatica and Microsoft Office literacy.
Strong financial reporting, analysis, budgeting, audit, tax, ERP, cash-flow, and business-planning capability.
Commercial flair and ability to work as part of a business-unit management team.
Results-oriented, analytical, innovative, trustworthy, deadline-driven, and able to take initiative under pressure.
