Synopsis

A growing South African business is seeking a Financial Controller to strengthen financial reporting, improve control processes, and support commercial decision-making. The role partners with finance and operational stakeholders across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting processes.
Review management accounts and investigate material variances.
Maintain effective financial controls and accounting policies.
Coordinate budgeting, forecasting, and cash-flow planning.
Support statutory, tax, and external audit requirements.
Prepare financial insights for senior management.
Partner with operational teams to improve profitability and cost visibility.
Coach and review the work of finance team members.

Qualifications / Minimum Requirements

Relevant accounting degree or professional qualification.
At least five years of financial reporting or controllership experience.
Strong knowledge of financial controls and statutory reporting.
Advanced Excel capability and experience with an ERP system.
Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
