Financial Assistant/Administrator

Our client, a well-established fruit export company, is seeking a detail-oriented Financial Assistant to support their finance team in a fast-paced operational environment. The role focuses on accurate producer pricing, timely payment processing, and maintaining strong financial controls.
 
Please note that our client is only considering candidates from the Cape Town and Winelands region due to urgency.
 
In addition, only candidates from the fruit export or who have experience in import and export financial assistance/administration will be considered.

KEY REQUIREMENTS TO MEET FOR CONSIDERATION:

• You will have Matric, coupled with a Diploma or Certificate in Finance, Accounting, or Bookkeeping, and 3–5 years’ experience in a financial administration role, preferably within the export or agricultural sector.
• You will have proven experience in processing producer pricing, managing weekly payment cycles, and verifying invoices against purchase orders, with a strong focus on accuracy and meeting strict deadlines.
• You will be responsible for processing and reconciling producer transactions, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring all supporting documentation is accurate and audit-ready.
• You will also compile and distribute remittances, support monthly reporting, and ensure adherence to internal financial controls and approval processes.
• Strong attention to detail, the ability to work under pressure, and effective communication skills are essential.
• A valid driver’s licence, own transport, and a clear criminal and credit record are required.
