If you are a meticulous Accountant with a degree and minimum 3 years experience our client in the Events Service Industry requires your financial skills.

Manage the full financial function - reporting, cash flow, cost control and statutory compliance in their fast-paced environment that demands accuracy and strong time management skills.

REQUIREMENTS

BCom Accounting or relevant qualification
3 to 5 years’ accounting experience
Trial balance to management accounts experience
VAT, Payroll and SARS compliance
Strong Excel and accounting software skills (Xero)
Work well in a team as well as independently

DUTIES

Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, from trial balance to management accounts
Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements
Oversee cash flow, including monitoring inflows and outflows to optimize liquidity
Manage debtors and creditors, ensuring timely collections and payments
Prepare and process payroll accurately and on time
Ensure VAT, PAYE, and other tax obligations are calculated correctly and submitted to SARS
Monitor and control costs, identifying opportunities for efficiency and savings
Support management with financial analysis and insights to guide decision-making
Reconcile bank statements and accounting records regularly
Maintain confidentiality and integrity of financial data
Assist with audits and liaise with external auditors as required
Identify process improvements and contribute to the development of financial policies and procedures
