Synopsis

An investment-focused organisation is looking for an experienced Financial Accountant to strengthen financial management, reporting, compliance and controls. The position works closely with the Finance Manager and wider team and requires a detail-oriented accountant comfortable operating across financial reporting and operational accounting responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain accurate accounting records across the business.
Prepare financial and management reporting information.
Support month-end and year-end accounting processes.
Perform reconciliations and investigate financial discrepancies.
Support financial compliance and control activities.
Assist with budgeting, reporting and finance-team requirements.
Work with the Finance Manager and broader team on financial matters.
Use accounting software and Excel to analyse and maintain financial information.

Qualifications / Minimum Requirements

BCom in Accounting or Finance.
Five to seven years of accounting experience.
Experience in SME, NGO, financial services or fund-management environments is advantageous.
Strong proficiency with accounting software.
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
A professional accounting designation is advantageous.
