Finance Manager: Supply Chain and Operations
Synopsis
To ensure the efficient functioning of the supply chain department with regards the following functions: Effective stock management, accruals and variance analysis; Manage all Admin Procedures at Ports, Sasolburg, Satellite Warehouses and Head Office; Goods in transit for all Supply Chain Depots and Ports; All accounting related transactions e.g. demurrage costs, pricing modules & expense management. The role will be responsible for providing the business with timely and accurate managerial and financial information. The scope of the role includes reporting on weekly and monthly management reports, ensuring that all financial and managerial controls are in place, completing monthly forecasts and detailed action plans to reach set targets on income, expense and working capital ratios and analysing trends. All activities, roles and responsibilities are aligned to the world class manufacturing and supply chain philosophy, principles and practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Management & Reporting: Manage monthly financial reporting, P&L, balance sheet, budgeting, forecasting, expense analysis and consolidated financial information.
- Cash Flow & Working Capital: Prepare accurate cash flow forecasts and monitor working capital, GRNI, demurrage, port costs and supply chain finance optimisation.
- Supply Chain Finance: Oversee purchase orders, stock movements, GIT, BOMS integrity, cost control systems and usage variances in production.
- Budgeting & Financial Analysis: Develop budgets, profit plans and financial models; analyse financial performance and provide recommendations to improve profitability and reduce costs.
- Inventory & Supply Chain Controls: Support physical stock counts, ensure accurate transaction processing and monitor inventory across supply chain warehouses and sites.
- Compliance & Audit: Maintain financial records, support internal and external audits, ensure adherence to finance procedures and respond to SARS queries.
- Risk Management: Identify key financial and supply chain risks, develop risk matrices and recommend solutions to minimise exposure.
- Business & Investment Support: Provide financial modelling, forecasting and analysis for investment opportunities, Capex and strategic business decisions.
- Supplier & Stakeholder Management: Resolve financial and administrative queries with suppliers and collaborate with Group and company finance teams.
- Regulatory & Industry Awareness: Monitor relevant legislation, supply chain regulations, industry trends and benchmarking to ensure best practice and compliance.
Qualifications / Minimum Requirements
- Continuous Improvement: Identify trends and opportunities to improve end-to-end supply chain performance, KPIs, cost efficiency and financial results.
- Desired Experience & Qualification Must be CA(SA) Willing to live or travel to Sasolburg Available to start immediately
