Finance Manager
Role Overview
An experienced Finance Manager is required for a UK-headquartered holding company with finance and back-office operations in Cape Town. The role owns the end-to-end finance function and works closely with the UK-based holding company and wider group.
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end accounting function.
- Manage monthly close and prepare monthly management accounts.
- Prepare quarterly and year-end reporting for the UK holding company.
- Prepare and oversee Annual Financial Statements.
- Manage tax, VAT, and statutory compliance.
- Manage intercompany transactions, reconciliations, settlements, and group consolidations.
- Prepare and review balance-sheet reconciliations, journals, accruals, and provisions.
- Assist with budgets, forecasts, and cash-flow reporting.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and professional service providers.
- Maintain financial controls and accounting processes.
- Improve reporting, processes, and finance-function efficiencies.
- Provide accurate and timely financial information to UK-based stakeholders and the Group.
Requirements
- Relevant finance or accounting qualification; CA(SA), CIMA, or ACCA is advantageous.
- Five or more years' relevant accounting and finance experience.
- Strong end-to-end accounting experience.
- Experience with management accounts, month-end and year-end reporting, AFS, tax, and statutory reporting.
- Strong understanding of intercompany accounting and group consolidations.
- Experience in a multinational or group environment.
- Strong Excel and accounting or ERP systems experience.
- High attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills, independence, and strong communication.
