Role Overview

An experienced Finance Manager is required for a UK-headquartered holding company with finance and back-office operations in Cape Town. The role owns the end-to-end finance function and works closely with the UK-based holding company and wider group.

Responsibilities

Own the end-to-end accounting function.
Manage monthly close and prepare monthly management accounts.
Prepare quarterly and year-end reporting for the UK holding company.
Prepare and oversee Annual Financial Statements.
Manage tax, VAT, and statutory compliance.
Manage intercompany transactions, reconciliations, settlements, and group consolidations.
Prepare and review balance-sheet reconciliations, journals, accruals, and provisions.
Assist with budgets, forecasts, and cash-flow reporting.
Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and professional service providers.
Maintain financial controls and accounting processes.
Improve reporting, processes, and finance-function efficiencies.
Provide accurate and timely financial information to UK-based stakeholders and the Group.

Requirements

Relevant finance or accounting qualification; CA(SA), CIMA, or ACCA is advantageous.
Five or more years' relevant accounting and finance experience.
Strong end-to-end accounting experience.
Experience with management accounts, month-end and year-end reporting, AFS, tax, and statutory reporting.
Strong understanding of intercompany accounting and group consolidations.
Experience in a multinational or group environment.
Strong Excel and accounting or ERP systems experience.
High attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills, independence, and strong communication.
