Field Technician - Electrical and Mechanical

Role Overview

A full-time, field-based Field Technician is required in Polokwane to assist with installation, maintenance, servicing, and repair of cash deposit safes and related cash-management equipment. Training and guidance will be provided while the technician develops practical field-service experience.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, maintain, and repair cash deposit safes and related equipment.
• Assist with electrical, electronic, mechanical, and basic software fault diagnosis.
• Perform preventative maintenance and equipment inspections.
• Attend customer sites, complete service reports, and provide basic user guidance.
• Follow health, safety, quality, and technical procedures.
• Escalate complex issues and work with technical support teams.
• Travel to customer locations and manage field-service schedules.

Requirements

• Basic technical knowledge and fault-finding ability.
• Good practical, problem-solving, communication, and customer-service skills.
• Ability to use basic hand and electrical tools.
• Good computer literacy and ability to learn technical systems.
• Relevant technical qualification or training is advantageous; previous field-service experience is advantageous but not essential.
• Valid driver's licence and reliable, roadworthy own vehicle are essential.
