Farm Manager - FM2634

Role Overview

A hands-on Farm Manager is required in the Nelspruit area, recorded as Mbombela in the Jobbox location taxonomy. The role oversees daily farm operations, team leadership, equipment, maintenance, and safe, efficient workflow.

Minimum Requirements

• Agricultural Diploma or Degree is advantageous.
• Citrus-production and livestock experience.
• Maintenance-oriented approach with mechanical capability.
• Ability to motivate and work with staff.
• Strong communication skills and computer literacy.
• Valid driver’s licence.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations and coordinate routine farm tasks.
• Monitor production schedules and workflow and ensure work is completed safely and on time.
• Handle preventative maintenance and basic repairs.
• Manage heavy machinery operations safely, troubleshoot equipment issues, and coordinate repairs.
• Provide clear direction to staff and crews, support training, and reinforce safe work practices.
• Identify issues early, communicate clearly with senior management, and adapt to changing weather and workload conditions.
• The successful candidate must be physically capable, able to lead a team, and willing to live on-site.
