Are you passionate about creating exceptional events and coordinating every detail seamlessly?
Our client in the Cape Winelands, is seeking a highly organised and creative individual to join their in-house team. This role is responsible for planning, coordinating and executing weddings, corporate functions and private celebrations of both domestic and international clients.
The successful candidate will manage event logistics from initial client consultation through to on-site coordination, working closely with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure each event reflects the estate’s standards and guest experience.

REQUIREMENTS
- Matric and relevant qualification
- Proficient in English and Afrikaans
- Driver’s license and own vehicle required
- Availability to work extended hours and weekends
- Demonstrates professional and mature engagement with clients
- Mature leadership presence, confident leading strong personalities
- High ownership mindset, calm, decisive and solutions-focused under pressure
- High emotional intelligence and conflict management capability
- CRM literacy and disciplined documentation management
- Anticipates risk and plans proactively
DUTIES
- Act as the single accountable relationship owner for planning the client’s event/function
- Deliver a seamless five-star experience from planning to execution
- Set clear expectations with in-house teams and suppliers, and manage scope
- Maintain proactive and structured communication with clients
- Manage difficult conversations with confidence and diplomacy
- Protect the venue’s reputation at all times
- Ensure clients experience five-star service from planning through execution
- Negotiate rates with suppliers and enforce service standards
- Manage supplier compliance, access and breakdown
- Maintain strong, accountable supplier partnerships
- Align kitchen, bar, supervisors, maintenance, cleaning and suppliers
- Lead structured pre-event briefings
- Ensure role clarity, timelines and accountability
- Maintain accurate CRM records, eliminating and preventing errors
- Take ownership of the full commercial, operational & experiential success of all events
- Finalise and control BEOs and function sheets
- Lead and develop Event Supervisors
- Identify inefficiencies, improve planning & processes for scalability and profitability
- Assist during high-conversion venue viewings
