(Ermelo) PA to Mine Manager / Admin Assistant

Synopsis

The Personal Assistant to the Mine Manager / Administrative Assistant will provide professional administrative, secretarial and operational support to the Mine Manager and site management team. The role is responsible for diary and meeting coordination, document preparation, correspondence, data capturing, filing, stock take support, quotation administration, supplier and customer queries, and general office support to ensure the smooth running of daily mine-site administration. The position requires a highly organised, reliable and detail-focused individual who can work in a fast-paced mining environment, handle confidential information, communicate professionally and support operational deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

  • PA Support to Mine Manager Manage the Mine Manager’s diary, appointments, meetings and follow-ups using Microsoft Outlook.
  • Schedule internal and external meetings, prepare agendas, take minutes where required, and follow up on action items.
  • Screen and prioritise calls, emails and visitors on behalf of the Mine Manager.
  • Prepare correspondence, reports, presentations, spreadsheets and general documentation.
  • Assist with travel, accommodation, site visits, meeting arrangements and logistical planning where required.
  • Maintain confidentiality when handling operational, HR, financial, supplier or employee-related information.
  • Support the Mine Manager with ad hoc administrative tasks, reporting deadlines and daily operational coordination. 2.
  • General Office Administration Provide day-to-day administrative support to the mine office and management team.
  • Maintain an organised filing system, both electronic and hard copy.
  • Capture, update and maintain records, registers, spreadsheets and operational documents.

Qualifications / Minimum Requirements

  • Certificate Secretarial Studies, Business Administration or related field will be advantageous.
  • Minimum 2–5 years’ experience as a PA, Admin Assistant, Office Administrator or Site Administrator.
  • Experience in a mining, construction, engineering, plant, logistics, procurement or industrial environment will be advantageous.
  • Computer literacy is essential, especially Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Experience with stock control, quotations, purchasing documentation or supplier administration will be advantageous.
  • Valid driver’s licence will be advantageous, especially for site-based roles.
  • Must be able to work in a mining/site environment and comply with all safety rules.
