Enrolled Nurse
Our client is seeking a compassionate and professional Enrolled Nurse to join their Care Unit team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering quality nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, while ensuring the comfort, dignity, and well-being of residents in a high-care environment.
The role also includes supervising Caregivers and Nursing Assistants, monitoring patient conditions, assisting with daily nursing activities, and responding appropriately in emergency situations. Requirements & Skills:
- Diploma in Nursing
- Registered with SANC as an Enrolled Nurse (annual proof of registration required)
- Previous experience in healthcare and/or elderly care will be advantageous
- Physically and emotionally fit to work in a high-care environment
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills in Afrikaans and/or English
- Compassionate, patient, respectful, and professional approach to patient care
- Ability to remain calm and act appropriately under pressure or in emergency situations
- Neat, professional, and courteous demeanour
- Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays if required
Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care in accordance with care plans and nursing procedures
- Assist residents with daily healthcare needs while maintaining dignity and comfort
- Observe, monitor, and report changes in residents’ conditions to the Registered Nurse
- Supervise and support Caregivers and Nursing Assistants
- Administer basic nursing care and medication as delegated
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, infection control, and safety standards
- Deliver compassionate support to residents and their families
