A client of ours within the Engineering Insurance sector is looking for an experienced Engineering Underwriter to join their team

Location:
Eastrand, Johannesburg

Requirements:

A BSC in Civil Engineering
5 years of experience working within an Insurer or a Underwriting Manager
Understanding of engineering risks, construction contracts, building codes, and machinery.
Familiarity with or willingness to study for FAIS (Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services) qualifications and Regulatory Exams (RE1/RE5)

Responsibilities:

Assessing risks for new and renewal business in engineering insurance
Setting terms and conditions for policies based on technical evaluations
Building and maintaining relationships with brokers and clients
Developing and analyzing engineering risk portfolios
