Engineering Manager - Coal and Opencast Mining

Role Overview

A mining operation in North West is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead engineering responsibility across coal and opencast mining activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering activities and technical standards across the mining operation.
• Provide engineering direction for electrical and mechanical systems.
• Support safe, compliant, and reliable production in a coal or opencast mining environment.
• Fulfil the responsibilities of a legally appointed engineering manager under applicable mining regulations.

Requirements

• BEng or BTech in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Government Certificate of Competency for Mines and Works.
• At least ten years of experience on coal or opencast mines.
• Legal appointment under Regulation 2.13.1.
• Matric and strong technical, operational, and leadership capability.
