Electrician – Manufacturing

Our client is seeking for a qualified Electrician to perform electrical inspections, fault finding, repairs, and maintenance on manufacturing equipment and infrastructure to minimise downtime and ensure smooth production operations.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 / Matric Certificate (NQF 4).
• Trade Test Qualification: Electrician or Millwright (NQF 5).
• Minimum 3 years’ electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with SAP, ERP systems, and maintenance software advantageous.
• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair electrical faults and equipment breakdowns.
• Perform preventative, predictive, and planned maintenance.
• Conduct routine inspections and daily equipment checks.
• Minimise production downtime through efficient troubleshooting and repairs.
• Complete maintenance job cards and ensure accurate reporting.
• Support production teams with process-related maintenance issues.
• Coordinate maintenance schedules and parts availability.
• Assist with training Apprentices and preparing training equipment.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, company procedures, and regulations.
• Support cost-saving initiatives and minimise waste.
