Education Sales Manager
Role Overview
The Education Sales Manager will build and prove an outbound sales process before recruiting, coaching, and leading a five-person Sales Development Executive team targeting UK state schools. The role is in Cape Town, hybrid initially and transitioning to office-based, with UK working hours. The package is R35,000–R45,000 per month based on experience, plus commission override and bonus potential.
Responsibilities
- Make outbound sales calls to build, test, and prove the sales process.
- Test and refine scripts and messaging and understand education decision-maker behaviour.
- Establish the CRM and sales playbook and build scripts, battle cards, and objection-handling guides.
- Set up CRM workflows, sales funnels, and KPIs covering activity, pipeline, conversion, and revenue.
- Recruit, onboard, lead, and coach five Sales Development Executives.
- Execute high-volume multi-channel outreach.
- Manage pipeline forecasting, call coaching, one-to-ones, and pipeline reviews.
- Drive team revenue towards 500 converted school accounts.
- Help transition client relationships into recurring upsell and account-management opportunities.
Requirements
- Demonstrated success in personal B2B outbound telephone sales.
- Hands-on leadership experience managing and scaling SDR, inside-sales, or telesales teams.
- Experience setting up sales infrastructure, CRM workflows, sales funnels, metrics, and forecasting.
- Experience with call coaching, pipeline reviews, sales playbooks, scripts, and objection handling.
- Strong understanding of sales funnels, conversion metrics, and pipeline forecasting.
- SaaS or EdTech sales targeting UK schools is desirable.
