E-Commerce Inventory & Purchasing Specialist

Role Overview

A detail-oriented Amazon e-commerce inventory and purchasing specialist is required to manage inventory planning and purchasing across multiple product lines. The role covers monitoring stock levels, forecasting inventory requirements, placing supplier purchase orders, coordinating inventory shipments to Amazon fulfilment centres and keeping product listings active and adequately stocked. The specialist will oversee the end-to-end inventory process across a diverse range of products, maintaining optimal stock levels and supporting marketplace performance.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage inventory levels across multiple product lines.
• Forecast stock requirements and determine reorder quantities.
• Place and track purchase orders with suppliers.
• Coordinate inventory shipments to Amazon fulfilment centres.
• Monitor product listings and ensure inventory availability.
• Analyse sales trends and inventory performance to prevent stockouts and overstock situations.
• Maintain accurate inventory and purchasing records.

Requirements

• Previous experience in Amazon e-commerce, inventory management, purchasing or supply-chain operations.
• Strong analytical and organisational skills.
• Experience with inventory forecasting and stock planning.
• Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets and inventory-management systems.
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
