Dispatch Supervisor

Our client is located in Pinetown and is looking for a Dispatch Supervisor to join their dynamic warehouse team.

Minimum Requirements

• Matric / Grade 12
• 3–5 years warehouse experience
• 2–3 years supervisory experience
• Experience in dispatch/logistics operations
• Syspro (or similar ERP) experience essential
• MS Office proficiency
• Valid Code 08 driver’s license
• Valid Forklift license
• Hazardous goods experience (advantageous)

Key Responsibilities
Dispatch Operations

• Manage daily long-haul dispatch from planning to execution
• Ensure accurate picking, checking, and loading of all orders
• Align physical stock with Syspro transactions and documentation
• Ensure on-time and accurate deliveries

Transport Coordination

• Coordinate with transporters and 3PL providers
• Ensure vehicle availability, optimal loading, and legal compliance
• Manage delivery schedules and resolve transit delays

Syspro & Stock Control

• Process and manage inter-warehouse transfers (SCTs)
• Reconcile system stock vs physical stock before dispatch
• Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies

Compliance & Safety

• Ensure all hazardous loads have valid TREM cards
• Verify UN numbers, SDS alignment, and safety documentation
• Enforce company safety standards and legal compliance

Team Supervision

• Supervise dispatch staff (storemen, checkers, packers)
• Allocate daily tasks and monitor productivity
• Train and develop team members

Inventory & Reporting

• Conduct cycle counts and stock takes
• Monitor OTIF/DIFOT and dispatch accuracy KPIs
• Report variances and operational performance

Health & Safety

• Enforce PPE usage and safe working practices
• Conduct daily safety briefings
• Maintain a clean and safe dispatch area
