Dispatch Supervisor - Durban

Role Overview

Supervise daily dispatch operations for a food-manufacturing operation in Durban, ensuring customer orders are picked, checked, loaded and dispatched accurately and on time.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate dispatch orders, picking, checking and loading.
• Verify products and quantities against invoices, picking slips and delivery documents.
• Coordinate vehicle loading and liaise with drivers, transporters, Warehouse, Production and Sales teams.
• Monitor delivery schedules and resolve delays, shortages, incorrect orders, damages and discrepancies.
• Maintain dispatch records, stock rotation, expiry controls and chilled or frozen product temperature controls.
• Maintain hygiene, housekeeping, food safety, GMP and OHS requirements.
• Supervise attendance, productivity, discipline and workloads.
• Prepare reports, assist with stock reconciliations and returned stock, and resolve delivery queries.
• Create, maintain and train staff on dispatch SOPs and improve processes.

Requirements

• Previous Dispatch Supervisor experience is essential.
• FMCG or food-manufacturing experience is highly advantageous.
• Strong dispatch, stock-control and order-fulfilment knowledge.
• Experience supervising staff and coordinating drivers or transport.
• SOP, administration, documentation, Excel, leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to work operational hours or overtime when required.
