Director - Finance Governance & Control

Role Overview

A university finance department is seeking a senior finance leader to direct governance, financial-control and reporting activities.

This position combines day-to-day delivery with accurate administration, timely follow-through and professional coordination with the people and teams who rely on the role.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be expected to take ownership of the following areas:

• Lead the finance governance and control function and set clear operating priorities. Maintain clear records, communicate progress and escalate exceptions promptly where required.
• Oversee financial policies, control frameworks, reporting quality and compliance. Maintain clear records, communicate progress and escalate exceptions promptly where required.
• Guide audit preparation, risk management and the resolution of control findings. Maintain clear records, communicate progress and escalate exceptions promptly where required.

Requirements

Applicants should be able to demonstrate the following capabilities in a structured, deadline-driven working environment:
