Digital Publishing Sales Account Manager

Do you have a strong understanding of the publishing industry, combined with a successful track record in B2B digital advertising sales?

Our client in Milnerton is looking for a commercially driven professional to build and nurture long-term client relationships while identifying opportunities to grow advertising revenue across a diverse portfolio of industries.

You will be confident in developing and presenting tailored advertising proposals, negotiating campaigns, and managing accounts from concept through to execution.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Matric, or related qualification
  • Tertiary qualification in Marketing advantageous
  • Minimum 5+ years of B2B media sales experience at a mid-level
  • Prior experience selling digital advertising in publications, web banners and newsletters
  • Experience working with Corporates Media, Ad agencies, and PR firms
  • Strong presentation and sales pitching skills are essential
  • Solid understanding of digital media sales strategies and performance metrics
  • Client-centric ethos with consultative sales approach
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • Research and development are key drivers for this position to succeed
  • Own vehicle and valid SA driving license
DUTIES
  • Drive sales of integrated advertising solutions across multiple platforms
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with C-level executives, marketing teams, agencies and key decision-makers
  • Secure contract placements that drive repeat business
  • Identify, pursue and close new business opportunities
  • Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and consistently meet or exceed revenue targets
  • Develop professional, strategic client proposals tailored to objectives, budgets & brand positioning
  • Manage the full sales cycle, including prospecting, pitching, onboarding, campaign execution, reporting, renewals and upselling
  • Coordinate with editorial & creative teams to ensure successful campaign delivery
  • Conduct presentations and maintain accurate CRM reporting and pipeline management
  • Represent the brand at launches, networking functions and industry events
Salary: Basic salary (negotiable) plus commission
