  • Keep file and system records accurate and up to date.
  • Manage a high volume of matters while ensuring follow-ups and deadlines are consistently actioned
  • Identify delayed or stagnant matters and escalate where necessary

What we're looking for:

  • Matric is essential
  • A law/legal qualification will be advantageous
  • Minimum of 3 years’ recent experience in debt recovery litigation within a law firm or specialist credit law environment
  • Practical Magistrates’ Court experience from summons through judgment and enforcement.
  • Hands-on experience with summonses, default judgments, warrants of execution and Section 65 proceedings
  • Proven ability to manage a high volume of legal matters and competing deadlines
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel

The right fit

You are organised, detail-oriented and proactive. You don't simply update a file and move on — you follow through, identify what is holding a matter back and take the necessary steps to move it forward.

Please note:
This is a litigation-focused debt recovery position. Candidates with only general legal secretarial, call-centre collections or telephone debt collection experience will not be considered.
