Customer Service Controller (CSD Controller) – Logistics

We are urgently looking for a Customer Service Controller (CSD Controller) – Logistics to manage client communication, coordinate shipments, and ensure seamless execution of import and export deliveries.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in the logistics/freight forwarding industry (critical)
  • Strong knowledge of imports, exports, and container handling
  • Hands-on experience with the Navis system and port operations
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle long working hours
  • Strong communication and client relationship skills
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple shipments simultaneously
  • Team player with a proactive and energetic attitude
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Experience in this field is critical
Key Responsibilities:
  • Communicate with existing clients daily to secure new shipments and deliveries
  • Provide continuous updates on shipment progress, delays, and delivery status
  • Maintain strong client relationships through proactive service and feedback
  • Plan daily shipments and deliveries in line with company procedures
  • Coordinate container movements for imports and exports
  • Ensure all planning is executed accurately and timeously
  • Work closely with operations, transporters, and port authorities
  • Handle import and export processes from start to finish
  • Manage container tracking and movement through the port
  • Liaise with shipping lines, depots, and terminals
  • Ensure compliance with port and customs requirements
  • Experience working with Navis system and port-related systems is essential
  • Track containers through port systems and ensure updates are accurate
  • Resolve operational issues related to port delays or releases
  • Compile and submit daily sales and operations reports to management
  • Close off files and complete delivery/job documentation accurately
  • Maintain proper record-keeping of all shipments and client interactions
  • Follow up on all deliveries to ensure successful completion
  • Resolve delays, discrepancies, and operational challenges quickly
  • Escalate issues where necessary and ensure corrective action
