Customer Liaison Officer
My client, a well-established manufacturer in the automotive sector, is looking for a proactive and customer-focused Customer Liaison Officer to join their Sales & Marketing team in Bloemfontein (Freestate).
Reporting to the Industrial Business Development Manager.
Key Responsibilities:

- Deliver professional, efficient, and courteous service to customers via telephone and email.
- Resolve customer queries promptly, aiming for first-time resolution wherever possible.
- Process customer orders accurately using SAP while ensuring stock availability and customer credit status.
- Coordinate closely with Business Representatives, Warehouse, Distribution, and Logistics teams to ensure timely order fulfilment.
- Keep customers informed regarding order status, delivery schedules, and any delays.
- Process customer claims, returns, rotations, and check-and-charge transactions in accordance with company procedures.
- Prepare quotations and respond to ad hoc customer requests.
- Maintain accurate customer records, calling schedules, and order documentation.
- Build strong working relationships with both internal departments and external customers.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and quality standards.
- Assist with cost control by minimising errors, reducing waste, and supporting efficient resource utilisation.
- Certificate in Customer Service, Marketing, Exports, or a related qualification (NQF 5).
- Up to 3 years' customer service or Customer Liaison experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience processing customer orders and handling customer queries.
- Computer literate with strong MS Office skills.
- Working knowledge of SAP is essential.
- Excellent telephone etiquette and professional communication skills.
- Strong administrative skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Customer-focused with a service-driven attitude.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical ability.
