Our client is looking for a Code 14 Cross-Border Driver (Manual Transmission) to safely and efficiently transport goods across international borders while operating heavy-duty manual transmission trucks, ensuring compliance with road traffic regulations, company policies, and cross-border transport requirements

Minimum Requirements

Valid Code 14 (EC) driver's licence.
Valid Professional Driving Permit (PrDP).
Valid Passport.
Minimum 5 years' experience driving heavy-duty manual transmission trucks.
Proven cross-border driving experience within Southern Africa.
Good knowledge of SADC cross-border routes and border procedures.
Ability to read and complete transport documentation.
Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

Operate Code 14 heavy-duty trucks with manual gearboxes.
Transport cargo safely to designated destinations across borders.
Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections.
Ensure all cargo is loaded, secured, and transported according to safety standards.
Maintain accurate trip records, logbooks, fuel records, and delivery documentation.
Comply with customs, immigration, and border control procedures.
Report vehicle defects, accidents, delays, or incidents promptly.
Monitor vehicle performance and arrange maintenance when required.
Adhere to driving hours and rest period regulations.
Maintain a professional relationship with clients, customs officials, and company representatives.

Working Conditions

Long-distance and overnight travel.
Cross-border operations.
Weekend, public holiday, and shift work as required.
