Credit Controller

Synopsis

We are looking for a detail-oriented Credit Controller to manage customer accounts, monitor outstanding payments and ensure invoices are paid on time. The ideal candidate will have strong financial skills and the ability to maintain positive customer relationships while managing overdue accounts.

Key Responsibilities

1. Monitor customer accounts and outstanding balances.
2. Follow up with customers regarding overdue invoices and payments.
3. Process payments and allocate them to the correct accounts.
4. Reconcile customer accounts and resolve billing discrepancies.
5. Prepare debtors’ reports and maintain accurate financial records.
6. Negotiate payment arrangements where necessary.
7. Work closely with the finance and sales teams to manage credit risks.

Qualifications / Minimum Requirements

1. A qualification in Finance, Accounting or a related field is advantageous.
2. Previous experience in credit control or accounts receivable is beneficial.
3. Knowledge of accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
4. Strong numerical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
5. Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
6. High attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
