Introduction

Our client is seeking a Counsellor to join its multidisciplinary healthcare team in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal. This position is suited to a professional who can contribute to assessment, treatment support, and coordinated patient care in a professional clinical setting while maintaining clear communication, strong documentation standards, and consistent service delivery. Duties & Responsibilities

The successful candidate will contribute to high-quality service delivery, operational reliability, and patient-focused outcomes within their assigned healthcare function.

Provide direct patient care, clinical support, or health service delivery in line with approved protocols and standards.
Assess, monitor, and document patient status, treatment progress, and care interventions accurately.
Administer treatments, procedures, or care activities relevant to the role and scope of practice.
Collaborate with doctors, allied professionals, and support teams to optimise patient outcomes.
Educate patients and families on treatment plans, follow-up care, and relevant health information.
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure that records are complete and compliant.
Support infection prevention, patient safety, and clinical governance practices across the unit.
Assist with handovers, escalation of clinical risks, and continuity of care planning.

This role may also involve supporting process improvement, compliance readiness, and cross-functional collaboration depending on the nature of the unit or practice.
