Our client, a well-established and progressive manufacturing company, seeks to employ a Costing Controller/Accountant, to join their progressive and expanding professional financial team.

Please Note: Due to the urgency to fill the role, preference will be given to candidates from the Cape Town and surrounding areas.

KEY REQUIREMENTS FOR CONSIDERATION:

You will have completed a National Diploma in Cost and Management Accounting, coupled with 2-4 years experience in a similar role within the engineering and/or the manufacturing sector.
You will have experience costing of manufactured parts, materials and product, reviewing of the BOM on cost reports and analysing the variances, with recommendations of resolution.
You will have experience in execute weekly/monthly reviews of material usage, labour efficiency, and overhead absorption to identify cost leaks.
You will have proven experience in waste cost management as well as profitability reporting and pricing for projects
You will have experience in managing project files, stock and component levels as well as being an effective communicator to coordinate with cross-functional divisions to provide management reports and recommendations
You will have solid expertise in ERP (SAP, Syspro, etc) and Advanced Excel, as well as being a excellent organiser, with attention to detail and cope under pressure
You must have a valid driver’s licence, own car and a clear criminal and credit record
