Role Overview

TooMuchWifi needs a Core Systems Engineer who can step into a practical role in Cape Town. A key part of the work involves Core Systems Engineer Monitor network and system infrastructure using observational tools to identify and address performance issues, bandwidth utilisation, and security threats.

Key Responsibilities

Support the team by managing implement and maintain robust system security hardening strategies, including firewall configurations and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
Support the team by managing basic understanding of network security principles and best practices.
Take responsibility for the core day-to-day work expected of a Core Systems Engineer.
Work with colleagues, customers or suppliers to keep work moving and issues visible.
Keep records, updates and handovers clear so decisions can be made with confidence.
