Control room operator

About the Role

We are looking for a vigilant and reliable Control Room Operator to monitor systems, coordinate operations, and respond to incidents in a fast-paced environment. You will play a critical role in ensuring the safety, security, and efficient operation of facilities by monitoring alarms, surveillance systems, and communications.

What You'll Do

Monitor CCTV, alarms, and control room systems in real time

Respond promptly to emergencies, incidents, and system alerts

Dispatch security personnel, technicians, or emergency services when required

Maintain accurate logs, reports, and incident records

Communicate effectively with field teams and management

Identify and escalate operational issues or security risks

Ensure compliance with company procedures and safety protocols

Perform routine system checks and report equipment faults

Requirements

Matric certificate (minimum requirement)

Previous experience in a control room, security, operations, or monitoring role (preferred)

Experience using CCTV, alarm monitoring, or dispatch systems is advantageous

Strong attention to detail and situational awareness

Excellent communication and decision-making skills

Ability to remain calm under pressure

Willingness to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays
