Compliance Officer Sandton, Johannesburg

A property company based in Sandton is seeking an experienced Compliance Officer with 5–7 years’ experience in the property management sector. Candidates must come from a property management company and have strong knowledge of property-related compliance, administration and governance requirements.

Salary: Market related (experience and qualification dependent)

Minimum Requirements:

Matric; relevant compliance, legal or property qualification.
5–7 years’ compliance experience.
Must have experience working for a property management company.
Strong understanding of property management processes and compliance requirements.
Excellent administration, reporting and document management skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
Good communication and stakeholder management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and monitor compliance across the property portfolio.
Ensure internal policies, procedures and regulatory requirements are followed.
Maintain compliance registers, records and supporting documentation.
Review and monitor leases, supplier documents and property compliance requirements.
Assist with audits and prepare compliance reports for management.
Track expiry dates for licences, certificates, contracts and statutory documents.
Liaise with landlords, tenants, service providers and internal departments.
Identify compliance risks and assist with corrective action plans.
Support health & safety, POPIA, FICA and general governance compliance.
