Synopsis

A reputable insurance brokerage is seeking a Commercial Underwriter to support policy administration, client service, risk assessment, and insurer liaison. The role works within a small team serving commercial and personal-lines clients.

Key Responsibilities

Assess commercial insurance risks and prepare quotations.
Process policy endorsements, renewals, and cancellations.
Maintain accurate client and policy documentation.
Assist with claims administration and follow-up.
Liaise with insurers, clients, and internal advisers.
Monitor outstanding information and documentation.
Provide responsive service on policy and coverage queries.

Qualifications / Minimum Requirements

Grade 12 and relevant short-term insurance experience.
Two to five years of commercial underwriting or brokerage experience.
Good understanding of commercial policy administration.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Relevant FAIS or RE5 credentials will be advantageous.
