Commercial Administrator (Export and Logistics)

Our client, a progressive and expanding fruit export and marketing company, seeks to employ a Commercial and Logistics Administrator to join this dynamic and professional team.
 
Candidates from the fruit and fresh produce export sector will receive preference.

KEY REQUIREMENTS TO MEET FOR CONSIDERATION:

  • You will have a tertiary qualification in Business Administration, Commerce, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Agricultural Economics, or a related field.
  • You will have a minimum of 5 years' experience in a commercial administration, export administration, logistics coordination, stock management, or financial administration role, preferably within the agricultural, fresh produce, or export sectors.
  • Proven experience in stock management, customer programme coordination, export documentation, logistics planning, and financial administration is essential.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, together with experience working on ERP systems, are required. Experience with Freshino, Exact Online, Xero, and Ebury will be highly advantageous.
  • You will be responsible for coordinating export programmes, monitoring stock movements and ageing, allocating stock to customer orders, and ensuring efficient product flow throughout the season.
  • You will coordinate logistics activities, customer orders, transport arrangements, quality control reporting, and re-export documentation while maintaining exceptional communication with customers, suppliers, service providers, and internal stakeholders.
  • You will manage key financial administration functions, including invoicing, supplier payments, reconciliations, cashflow forecasting, VAT submissions support, and customer payment follow-ups.
  • Strong analytical abilities, commercial awareness, problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to perform effectively under pressure are essential for success in this role.
  • You will be responsible for compiling market intelligence reports, maintaining operational records, identifying commercial risks, and supporting business decision-making through accurate reporting and data analysis.
  • You must possess excellent communication, planning, organisational, customer service, and team collaboration skills.
  • You must be able to work independently, maintain accurate records, and take a proactive approach to ensuring operational efficiency and commercial profitability
  • You must have a valid driver's licence, own car and a clear criminal and credit record.
