Synopsis

We are looking for a skilled and technically minded Civil Engineer to design, develop, and oversee infrastructure and construction projects. You will work on projects such as roads, bridges, buildings, water systems, and other essential infrastructure, ensuring they are safe, efficient, sustainable, and compliant with engineering standards.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop civil engineering projects and infrastructure
Prepare technical drawings, specifications, calculations, and project documentation
Conduct site inspections, surveys, and feasibility assessments
Manage and monitor construction projects from planning through to completion
Work closely with architects, contractors, engineers, and clients
Ensure projects meet quality, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
Monitor project budgets, timelines, materials, and resources
Identify and resolve technical and construction-related challenges
Prepare progress reports and technical presentations

Qualifications / Minimum Requirements

Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognised institution
Professional registration with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) is advantageous or required for certain senior roles
Previous experience in civil engineering or construction is preferred
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or other engineering design software
Strong knowledge of engineering principles, construction methods, and relevant standards
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
Valid driver's licence is advantageous
