Synopsis

An established industrial manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Buyer / Procurement Officer to support material availability and purchasing requirements in a fast-paced production environment. The role works closely with production, stores and finance to ensure procurement activities are accurate, cost-conscious and aligned with operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Source and procure raw materials, consumables and production-related items.
Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers.
Coordinate purchasing activity according to operational requirements.
Maintain accurate procurement records and reports.
Follow up on purchase orders and supplier commitments.
Work closely with production and stores teams regarding material availability.
Coordinate with finance on purchasing and supplier-related matters.
Use procurement or ERP systems to maintain purchasing information.

Qualifications / Minimum Requirements

Previous experience as a Buyer or Procurement Officer.
Experience within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
Strong working knowledge of procurement processes.
Experience using ERP or procurement systems.
Ability to work effectively with production, stores, suppliers and finance stakeholders.
