REQUIREMENTS
- Grade 12 with a relevant tertiary or commercial qualification
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar B2B technical sales role
- Electronics manufacturing industry experience advantageous
- Strong communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Proven success in achieving sales and revenue targets
- Excellent organisational, time management, and prioritisation abilities
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and support team development
- Fluent in English and Afrikaans (written and spoken)
- Proficient in CRM and ERP systems, as well as Microsoft 365
DUTIES
- Report directly to the Head of Business Development
- Lead and manage the Internal Sales team
- Achieve sales budgets while maintaining a minimum 100% customer retention rate
- Conduct customer needs and cost-benefit analyses to provide suitable solutions
- Identify and drive upselling opportunities
- Monitor sales pipelines, outstanding purchase orders, and conduct loss analyses
- Collaborate with internal teams and departments to support sales objectives
- Attend sales and operations meetings, providing updates on customer matters
- Generate new business through cold calling, networking, and prospecting activities
- Identify potential opportunities through industry events and market engagement
- Maintain strong industry and product knowledge
- Build and maintain strong customer and business relationships
- Present and promote products and services to existing and prospective clients
- Handle customer queries, complaints, and disputes to ensure satisfaction
- Provide regular customer feedback and updates
- Maintain accurate CRM records and detailed customer meeting notes
- Prepare sales reports, analytics, tender submissions, pricing comparisons, and market analyses as required
