Bookkeeper/Accountant Fourways Johannesburg

Our client is looking for a bookkeeper/Accountant for a fixed contract period of 3 months which might be extended or go into a permanent position. You need 5 years plus experience you need to be strong in EXCEL. Financial Accounting abilities is an added bonus.

Salary up to R 35000 (This is a Fixed Term contract – must be able to start immediately)

Min Requirements

Matric plus relevant qualifications
5+ years Bookkeeping/Accounting experience
Candidates with Financial Accountant experience would therefore be advantageous
Strong in Accounts Payable and payments
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are essential.
Experience with Acumatica is advantageous but not essential

Responsibilities

Bookkeeping duties on an ERP Software system – training to be provided
Be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records
Performing reconciliations (cash, credit card, EFT, membership, suppliers, and payment platforms)
Managing banking and cashbook activities, including month-end processing
Supporting revenue processes, including reporting, invoicing, and journals
Handling accounts payable, including payment runs and ageing reviews
Preparing and capturing invoices
Investigating and resolving reconciliation queries
Monitoring unbanked receipts
Supporting payroll and intercompany accounting
Maintaining the fixed asset register
Assisting with reporting and general finance administration
