Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper & Financial Assistant (in-office) to support the Group Accountant with day-to-day accounting, stock control, and administrative tasks. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, managing inventory, and ensuring efficient financial operations.

We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper & Financial Assistant (in-office) to support the Group Accountant with day-to-day accounting, stock control, and administrative tasks. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, managing inventory, and ensuring efficient financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
Bookkeeping
- Capture and maintain accurate financial records up to trial balance
- Process accounts payable and receivable
- Perform bank reconciliations and cash up
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
- Monitor and maintain accurate stock records
- Perform regular stock reconciliations and variance analysis
- Coordinate stock takes and investigate discrepancies
- Work closely with operations to ensure stock accuracy and control
- Provide day-to-day support to the Financial Manager
- Prepare schedules and reports for audits or reviews
- Handle ad hoc financial and administrative tasks
- Ensure compliance with internal processes and controls
- Must reside in Somerset West, Strand, or Gordon’s Bay
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a bookkeeping or similar finance role
- Minimum qualification: Financial certificate or equivalent
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and financial processes
- Experience with Pastel and Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
