Job Purpose
The Billing Administrator is responsible for managing accurate billing processes, maintaining financial records, and supporting the department with reconciliations and account-related queries. The role requires a detail-oriented individual who can work efficiently under pressure while ensuring accuracy and compliance with company standards.Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, process, and manage billing functions in accordance with company procedures.
- Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate financial and billing records.
- Capture and verify data on billing systems and ensure correctness.
- Identify, investigate, and correct errors in billing and financial information.
- Liaise with internal departments and clients regarding billing queries.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of all billing-related transactions.
- Assist with reporting and general administrative duties within the department.
- Maintain proper filing and documentation of financial records.
Minimum Mandatory Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- Valid Driver’s Licence (preferred).
- Own transport (advantageous).
- Computer literate with strong experience in MS Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Accurate and be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Team player
- Excellent advanced excel skills -must be able to do V-lookups and do Pivot tables
- Able to work after hours when needed
- Working with clients, excellent interpersonal customer service skills
- Accuracy as the role involves billing and checking vast amounts of data
- Reliability
- Good timekeeping, attendance and work ethic required
- Previous experience with billing systems/software.
- Basic knowledge of financial and accounting principles.
