Billing Administrator

Billing Administrator (Financial Administrator)
Location: Belville, Cape Town

Job Purpose

The Billing Administrator is responsible for managing accurate billing processes, maintaining financial records, and supporting the department with reconciliations and account-related queries. The role requires a detail-oriented individual who can work efficiently under pressure while ensuring accuracy and compliance with company standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, process, and manage billing functions in accordance with company procedures.
  • Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate financial and billing records.
  • Capture and verify data on billing systems and ensure correctness.
  • Identify, investigate, and correct errors in billing and financial information.
  • Liaise with internal departments and clients regarding billing queries.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of all billing-related transactions.
  • Assist with reporting and general administrative duties within the department.
  • Maintain proper filing and documentation of financial records.

Minimum Mandatory Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric).
  • Valid Driver’s Licence (preferred).
  • Own transport (advantageous).
  • Computer literate with strong experience in MS Excel and Microsoft Office.
  • Accurate and be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Team player
  • Excellent advanced excel skills -must be able to do V-lookups and do Pivot tables
  • Able to work after hours when needed
  • Working with clients, excellent interpersonal customer service skills
  • Accuracy as the role involves billing and checking vast amounts of data
  • Reliability
  • Good timekeeping, attendance and work ethic required
  • Previous experience with billing systems/software.
  • Basic knowledge of financial and accounting principles.
