Synopsis

An automotive dealership environment is seeking an experienced Automotive Claims Assessor with strong mechanical knowledge to support technical claims and warranty-related processes. The role requires an experienced motor-industry professional who can evaluate vehicle repairs and claims using practical workshop and diagnostic knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

Review automotive claims using technical vehicle knowledge.
Assess repair requirements and supporting claim information.
Evaluate claims against relevant technical and warranty requirements.
Review vehicle-system and repair information when determining claim validity.
Work with dealership and workshop stakeholders regarding claim queries.
Identify inconsistencies or technical concerns in submitted repair information.
Maintain accurate supporting information for assessed claims.
Apply diagnostic and workshop knowledge when evaluating complex vehicle-related matters.

Qualifications / Minimum Requirements

Grade 12 / Matric.
Motor Mechanic Trade Certificate.
Diagnostic Technician or Master Technician certification.
Previous motor-dealership experience is essential.
Strong technical understanding of vehicle systems and repair processes.
Ability to evaluate automotive repairs and technical claims accurately.
