Synopsis

A firm of Chartered Accountants is looking for an Audit Trainee to develop practical experience across audit, accounts and tax while working toward an AAT or ACCA qualification. Depending on business requirements, the successful candidate may work across audit, accounts and tax assignments for clients operating in industries including trading and property.

Key Responsibilities

Support senior team members with audit, accounts and tax assignments.
Assist with audit procedures and working-paper preparation.
Analyse, summarise and reconcile client accounting information.
Support the preparation of accounts and related financial documentation.
Assist with tax work where allocated by the department.
Maintain accurate engagement records and supporting documentation.
Communicate progress and queries to senior team members.
Develop practical professional-accounting skills while completing structured studies.

Qualifications / Minimum Requirements

Trainee Level 1 requires no previous audit experience.
Trainee Level 2 requires at least one year of audit experience.
Willingness to work toward an AAT or ACCA qualification.
Ability to work accurately in a team-based professional-services environment.
Interest in developing experience across audit, accounting and taxation.
