Synopsis

An audit team supporting UK clients is seeking an Audit Senior to take ownership of audit sections, lead fieldwork and coordinate engagement workflows from Cape Town. The position works closely with UK-based managers and directors and requires accurate delivery, strong client communication and adherence to audit standards and internal procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Take ownership of assigned audit sections and engagement workstreams.
Lead audit fieldwork and coordinate day-to-day audit activity.
Maintain complete and accurate audit working papers.
Coordinate workflow to keep engagements on schedule.
Liaise with clients to obtain information and resolve audit queries.
Work with UK-based managers and directors throughout audit delivery.
Apply relevant audit standards and internal procedures to engagement work.
Escalate significant issues and delivery risks to the appropriate senior stakeholders.

Qualifications / Minimum Requirements

Relevant audit experience at a level suitable for independently owning audit sections.
Experience leading or coordinating audit fieldwork.
Strong understanding of audit documentation and working-paper standards.
Ability to communicate professionally with clients and senior audit stakeholders.
Experience working with UK audit engagements or UK-based accounting teams is relevant to the role.
