Au Pair Vacancy (Newborn Care)

About the Position

Provide full-time care for a two-month-old newborn baby girl. The successful candidate must create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment while maintaining the baby's daily routine.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide loving, attentive, age-appropriate care.
• Prepare and feed bottles, including sterilising and washing feeding equipment.
• Change nappies and maintain the baby's hygiene.
• Dress the baby appropriately for the weather and activities.
• Engage the baby in suitable developmental and sensory activities.
• Follow and maintain the established sleep routine.
• Wash, fold, and pack away the baby's laundry.
• Keep the nursery and baby-related items clean, tidy, and organised.
• Maintain a daily log of feeds, naps, nappy changes, and activities.
• Provide parents with daily feedback on the baby's wellbeing and routine.
• Perform light household duties related to the baby's care.

Minimum Requirements

• At least two years' experience caring for newborn babies.
• Grade 12.
• Fluent in Afrikaans.
• Valid First Aid Certificate.
• Own reliable vehicle and valid driver's licence.
• Clear criminal record and contactable references.
• Currently reside in or near Middelburg, Mpumalanga.
• Non-smoker; honest, trustworthy, patient, and dependable.

Package and Working Arrangements

Location: Middelburg, Mpumalanga. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:00. The start date is 4 January 2027. Salary is market-related and will be discussed during the interview.
