About the Role

We are seeking a knowledgeable and innovative Agricultural Scientist to conduct research and develop sustainable farming solutions that improve crop production, livestock management, and environmental conservation. You will work with farmers, researchers, and agricultural organisations to apply scientific principles that enhance productivity and promote sustainable agricultural practices.

What You'll Do

Conduct research on crops, livestock, soil, and agricultural systems
Analyse agricultural data and prepare scientific reports and recommendations
Develop and implement sustainable farming practices and innovative solutions
Monitor crop health, soil quality, and environmental conditions
Provide technical advice and support to farmers and agricultural stakeholders
Design and oversee field trials and research projects
Stay up to date with advancements in agricultural science and technology
Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and agricultural regulations

Requirements

Degree or Master's in Agricultural Science, Agronomy, Animal Science, Soil Science, or a related field
Previous experience in agricultural research, farming, or agribusiness is advantageous
Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of crop production, soil management, livestock systems, and sustainable agriculture
Proficiency in data analysis and scientific reporting tools
Excellent communication and project management skills
Valid driver's licence (preferred)
