Aftermarket Regional Category Manager

Role Overview

Manage and develop the regional aftermarket product portfolio, driving profitable sales and margin growth, pricing strategy, product positioning and portfolio expansion. The role works closely with regional sales, pricing, product and service teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage the aftermarket portfolio across sales, margin, volume, product mix and profitability.
• Develop and execute regional portfolio and growth strategies.
• Identify new sales and portfolio-growth opportunities and develop customer-focused business cases.
• Monitor market, customer and competitor trends to support product positioning.
• Drive portfolio expansion, including REMAN, 2-line, Premium and repair-kit products.
• Translate customer and market requirements into profitable product opportunities.
• Lead pricing strategy, including NPI pricing, price approvals, annual adjustments and promotions.
• Conduct competitor and product benchmarking to support pricing and positioning.
• Partner with regional sales, pricing, service-readiness and OE project teams.
• Support aftermarket requirements through RFQ, CQ and GDPEP processes.
• Act as the product/portfolio expert for internal teams and customers.
• Support sales and budget planning and monitor portfolio performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 3–7 years’ product-management experience.
• Automotive industry experience is advantageous.
• Advanced MS Excel, with experience in SAP, Cognos and Salesforce.
• Business-fluent English.
• Knowledge of product management, portfolio strategy and GD-PEP processes.
• Strong strategic, analytical, negotiation, influencing and relationship-management skills.
• Strong customer focus and ability to work effectively across multiple teams.

Additional Information

Basic salary: R70,000–R74,000 per month, plus benefits.
