Administrative Assistant
Our client, based in Somerset West, is seeking to appoint a reliable and hands-on Administrative Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. The successful candidate will be working in a practical, fast-paced environment, supporting daily operations and ensuring administrative processes run efficiently. This role requires a mature, accountable individual who is comfortable taking responsibility and assisting with both office duties and physical stock handling.

- Handling incoming calls, screening and transferring calls efficiently
- Assisting customers with product, pricing, and availability enquiries
- Taking accurate messages and conducting stock checks
- Assisting walk-in customers in a professional and friendly manner
- Tracking daily waybills and ensuring timely delivery of goods
- Liaising with customers and couriers to resolve delivery issues
- Preparing documentation for filing and maintaining accurate records
- Filing tax invoices, credit notes, and new customer/supplier accounts
- Updating invoice batches and maintaining filing systems
- Processing supplier invoices and generating GRNs where required
- Reconciling supplier statements with Pastel records
- Assisting with supplier payment schedules and tracking
- Supporting the debtors function, including invoice follow-ups and month-end processes
REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven experience working on Pastel (essential)
- Fully bilingual in English and Afrikaans
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
- Computer literate (Microsoft Office)
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure
- Physically fit and able to lift and move stock daily
- Mature, dependable, and accountable
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Willing to take initiative and work as part of a team
